Our Program

At House of Hope, we recognize the young women we serve are looking for support and encouragement during this tough time in their lives. We assist these young families in making a better life for themselves and their children by restoring hope and building a supportive foundation through education, mentoring and guidance.

Who We Serve

 

House of Hope provides programming, services and shelter to homeless pregnant or parenting women, aged 18 to 24, and their children.

How To Get Referred

 

Call 920.884.6740 and mention that you are looking for shelter. Agencies and clients may phone directly.

 

Accommodations

 

Each family receives:

·         A private, furnished bedroom

·         Storage space for food and necessities

·         A welcome basket of hygiene products and other living needs

·         Shared use of kitchen, bathroom, living rooms and play yard

·         Shared use of telephone (for local calls) with an answering machine

·         A postal address to receive mail

Our Program

 

House of Hope’s program supports residents by focusing on:

·         Finding safe and stable housing through a local transitional housing program

·         Basic living skills

·         Parenting Education

·         Completing high school or the equivalent

·         Securing employment

 

We partner with community organizations to provide specialized programming such as:

·         Budget counseling & debt management

·         Nutrition education & meal preparation

·         General Education Diploma (GED)

·         Renter’s rights and responsibilities

·         Financial literacy

·         Employment readiness

·         Parenting education

·         Positive thinking/mental health/anger management

·         Domestic violence awareness education

 

We also provide access to mainstream resources such as:

·         Medical assistance

·         Dental referrals

·         FoodShare/WIC

·         Child care assistance
